So last night at around midnight I decide that I want to make something that doesn't require a lot of sewing. Suddenly it hits me, "Oh, I have a pair of jeans with a very large hole in the crotch, why don't I make a skirt out of them?"

And that's exactly what I did. I call it my '1 a.m. skirt'..I finished it at 1 a.m.  Cheesy

Did I mention I drew nautical stars on the back pockets with a sharpie?

I tried this before but in the triangle-ish insert, it always sticks out farther than the rest of the material, so it's all... meh. And then I get all sad. But I, too, have a pair of pants with a hole in an unfortunate place (HOW??) so maybe I shall try it again.

That skirt is great how hard are those to make by the way?  Can they be done by hand or on machine?  Also I have the same problems with jeans getting holes there.........must be a high stress area I preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'guess...............its') worse with my nylons though they always always rip there and pajama bottoms too when they are too baggy the crotch part hangs down too far and when ya site indian style woa look out they really rip!  Great job it came out lovely!

I love to see these "classic" reconstructions.  Everyone always has a different take on the same general idea.

Love the stars!

Either or, I just did mine by hand because I don't have a machine at my house.
