I saw this ad in one of the sunday paper fashion sections:

At 18, it's well within my means for an impulse buy, but that's not really the point, is it?? I was already making a jacket and skirt out of some gorgeous wool suiting fabric (photos of the jacket & skirt HERE!), so I made this bag out of scraps of fabric leftover from the suit (and the lining of the bag is scraps from the lining of the jacket!). I freehanded the pieces to make it match the magazine photo, but spruced it up with some wide white lace, hot pink stitched flower, and some sparkly beads.

I love it, and it's big enough to be practical even though it fits on my wrist! Smiley

Personally, I like the one you made a lot more than that brown one. Smiley The pink is a nice touch.

Yours is much better, their's is sort of boring.  And, it'll match your jacket and skirt.

I like them both and want them both! The original is a bit plainer and yours is a little funkier. You did a great job though! Really nice.

That'd be so cool! Smiley

I didn't take photos as I was making it and I just kinda pieced it together, so I can't really do a tutorial, but I'd love to see your interpretations of it!
