Details of swap:
open to all australians (including tasmania), kiwis, pacific islanders only. the theme is "create a bag & add a surprise".
you must craft one bag for your swapper and in addition craft (preferred)/ purchase either ONE large item or TWO - THREE small items. these items may be from your swappers desired surprises list or a surprise all on its own. you can ONLY purchase the item if it's something that is not something you can make, please! think candies, food items, something that is specific to your country that someone else wouldn't be able to get... that sort of thing.
keep in good contact with your swapper so you may get to know one another better and have a good feel for what you believe they'd love & appreciate.

IMPORTANT as this is the first swap i am organizing you MUST respond to this post in order to partake in the swap. please refrain from

I'd love to join in, but I haven't finished my first swap.
The closing date for sending the swap is in 6 days, so we'll see how we go

which swap are you participating in? i checked everyone's profiles so far and haven't come up with anyone who wouldn't be able to participate... there's nothing that says you are in progress with another one. i'm just wondering so there's no confusion & neither of us get in trouble (this is the first swap i will be organizing).

Aaaah! I kinda wanted to do another swap, (had even considered organising an NZ swap at one stage!) but my life has become sooo busy lately, I know I just won't be able to manage a 31/10 deadline. Bummer :-(

The way I interpret this is that you CAN purchase something instead of crafting, if you don't have time/ideas/want to get something specific for the person you're crafting for, but it's preferred you craft a surprise.
