Ribbon Covered Clips

What you'll need:

• 3 inches of ribbon per barrette
  
• 2 metal "curl clips" (find them in the hair accessory section of a drugstore)
  
• hot glue gun
  
• liquid no-fray solution
  

step one
Cut 3" in ribbon and apply no-fray solution to one edge.

step two
Flip the curl clip over to the wrong side and begin to glue the ribbon down starting with the end of the ribbon that you applied the no-fray solution to.

step three
Pull the ribbon tight over the part of the barrette that you pinch and glue down the ribbon all along the along the length of the barrette. I recommend inserting a flat piece of plastic into the barrette so you don't hot glue it shut.

step four
Now trim off any amount of ribbon that's hanging off the end of the barrette and apply some no-fray solution.

Thank you Leah  I have a bag of very purty ribbon scraps...some just a few inches long. I knew if I saved them I could find something to use them for!!  I also have some of those clips here somewhere....hmmmm. ...where are those  Fun craft for when my youngest daughter has her best pal over this week :D

Great little clips... I'm sure my 5 year old can see them in about 40 shades of pink LOL.
