flip flops

Sorry about the bad pictures. But ... this is what we did. We got regular old flip flops from target and tied pices of material onto them and made them look oh so beautiful. This project is really a fundraiser for this band that I am in. But, I liked it alot and you are all so nice here that I just had to show you.

Mine are boring colors, others that we made are bright and colorful works of goodness. But I like the more classic look.

so did you just cut out strips that were like on inch wide and 4 long and tie them on or is there something else i'm not getting?

Well it was more like 3/4 of an inch, and 5 inches long. But when you tie it on you have to fold one of the sides at an angle so when you tie it on the good side is showing. We also tied on fishnet type of favric, thats not what it it called but I cant think of the name. And once you tie it on you can cut the fabric as short as you want. But cut it after you get it on or else it is to hard to tie on.

I recently just did that only I took flowers and sewed them on to my light green flip flops.  I will have to try your idea though.

I've seen a bunch of girls wearing them around town, and I've always wondered how, exactly, they're made. Thanks so much. I may have to get out a pair of scissors and my flip flops.
