So, I guess this counts as a reconstructed bag project. It started as a button up shirt, but then I cut it up tomake one of these http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45093.0

When I made it, I had the leftover with this kind of shape

And I kept it for weeks, until it told me "I'd make a great bag, you know?" Hehehe... So I listened to it, and got to work. And you know what? That piece of fabric was so right! This is what I made out of it:

Horray for my new tiny hobo bag!

Althouh I didn't use any lining, I used some interfacing, and it seems to be holding very well. And for closure, I just added a loop of yarn that closes with one of the buttons of the shirt.

Ah... and for the handle I used a tiny scrap from a curtain I just recently made for my mom that happened to match perfectly. This little bag was practically for free.

Wow- so easy and simple!  Love the pleats, and you didn't even have to spend the time putting them in there!

Aren't they adorable? I think they just make the bag, they are it's best feature, and YES, it was kind of a relief not having to make them! But I did make just 2 big pleats on the front and 2 on the back to give it it's final shape. It's easy to spot them.
