hey all-
i'm working on a project.. i need more design advice rather than technique.
I'm participating in a Katrina/Rita relief concert thing, and i'm a vendor. (all the proceeds go to the hurricaine victims)
I'm making patches to sell... i'm screenprinting the design on some cloth and using double sided interfacing to make them iron-on.
I have a couple of ideas for the design, here they are.

--A magnolia growing out of some rocks, and puddles. I don't know the phrase, but something along the lines of "out of ____ grows hope" (possible fill ins, despair, disaster, tragedy, etc)
--i was also thinking of something with this design...

i also have red fabric.
--well, that's it. I was planning on having a few different designs so people could choose... but i can't come up with ideas anymore! i have designers block! egad!

any comments, phrases, or good ideas for images would be very helpful.

thanks- A

Both of those ideas are great, what is the concert called? Maybe you could do a design with that. Also if the concert has a logo or something you could ut that on it.
You could also have one that is about learning from mistakes and building a better future, i cant think of exact wording tho, sorry.
Or from chitty chitty bang bang 'up from the ashes, grow the roses of success' you ight have to check copywrite for that.

thank you for responding Happychick! i was beginning to think i had posted a conversation killer.
i don't know what it's called >< they are still working everything out. I sold at another festival of theirs, and it was great so i'm doing it again.
i like that chitty chitty bang bang thing, i've never seen the movie but i love that quote. I might keep that idea and use it for the magnolia thing.
i'm working on what i can put on the arrow one, where the "we can fix this" is. Should i keep that? maybe i should put "hurricaine relief 2005" on the bottom... i like that idea. maybe i'll post it...
thanks happychick!
