i dont think i can get my hands on lambs pride bulky... is it more bulky or chunky?  id prefer if it was more chunky.... bulky is pretty thick...

I did Skully in cheap-o Bernat acrylic.  I THINK I made the medium, and it fits about right (that is, loosely) even with the worsted weight yarn, and I'm somewhere in between small-medium.  It was my second knit object and although my intarsia and seaming are crap, it wasn't too hard and came out okay.

Be carefull though, as it sort of makes me look like a football player (the shoulders do, I mean.)  I think the sweater on the model in the book is a large, and on a very small person.

Oh! I forgot to add, I heard when making this that the armholes came out waaay too tight.  I think I knitted from the bottom of the armhole up (the yoke of the sweater) as if I was knitting a large, lengthwise.  It worked out okay.

I really liked the skull motif from the Skully sweater pattern so I added it to several other projects. I made the Sack Sweater from SnB and I replaced the cable section with the skull. I made it out of worsted weight Lion's Brand wool ease. The sweater now belongs to my sister but in the picture her guy friend is modeling it. That way it was stretched out to really see the pattern.

i used chunky weight for mine, and it worked pretty well.

kick ass im totally going tomake this sweater.... everntually... when i finish the misfits zip up hoodie i started forever ago....   but eventually..
and that matching kitty hat is superb.. very nice

I used the yarn called for and had to buy lots more than it said to. I was a new knitter, so it was fine by me. The thing is pretty large and in charge. It's very, very warm and pretty bulky. The Lamb's Pride is a little sheddy, the mohair tends to get in your lip gloss. I love it to pieces, and so does Dane Cook:



The intarsia looks like crap now that I actually know how to do it, but I wear it proudly anyway. Good luck!
