I just finished reconstructing a clock that I picked up free at a flea market. I loved the 'retro' look of this clock and even really liked it 'as is' if it hadn't been in bad shape.

However, the paint was coming off the dial and the fabric used on the two color blocks was peeling and frayed.

Here's the original:

Sooo...DH and I went 'image shopping' until we found a couple pin-up pictures we liked, I printed them out, he cut them to size while I repainted the dial and the hands. (the paint is still wet on the hands, they don't look so uneven in person..lol)

Here's our finished project:

The whole project took about 15 minutes and now we have a clock we love hanging in the computer room of our house.  Grin

Amazing what you can find at flea markets/thrift stores/garage sales. Plus, the graphics & paint stylings are cool.  P.S. How tall (or long) is the clock?

Hey is very nice, but the first one looks like Mondriaan's work

The new version i like too, and i was wondering how would it look if the arms of the clock suddenly became cancan dancer's legs (hihihihi), that would be double fun

i think that'd be a great touch. a lil while ago urban outfitters (urbn.com) had a DIY clock kit of hands & numbers in their store that had the "hands" as 2 silver legs.
