Hi guys...there is a related thread out there sorta about this...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=51877.0

The pattern can be found at this link (Provocraft.com): http://www.provocraft.com/projects/projects.php?prdindex=kniftyknitter&dsp=project&idnum=13

I made mine using the small/blue loom in the Knifty Knitter set of four. I need to make a permanent mouth (I need black felt) and to play around with the stem. I didn't understand the pattern's directions for the stem, I just made mine with felt.

neat!  I started making this same project last night.  I got the leaf and steam done and then started the body part on the medium sized red loom.  I was wondering if it was going to turn out too huge though since the project page doesn't say which one they used....

Okay, here's my first one!  I can't decide whether it should have a face or not.  I plan on making a few more before halloween, including a bigger fatter one!  yay

Hey! Your stem looks really good. How did you do it? I didn't understand the directions on the website.

After I finished the leaf I just added 3 pegs on one side and then 3 pegs on the other, then knitted on those 9 pegs for 14 rows (or less if you want a shorter stem).  Then you gather up the top of the stem and stitch up the side of the stem.  It is a flat panel before you stitch it up.  Let me know if that's not clear, I kind of stumbled through it too.

I knit a pumpkin today too!  I don't have a knifty knitter, I just followed this pattern for the larger size
http://www.knittedthreads.com/free/hand/freehkt2.htm

It's in crystal palace cotton chenille with the stem knit in lion homespun.  I think the nephew will like it a lot.
