this is my frist completed craft project! i made this scarf for my brother because he lost a bunch of weight and was cold so its an early christmas present. you can't really tell what the stitch looks like but its supposed to a waffle stitch that my flat mate starpiste taught me. it was really fun to make and actually finish. i'm also working on hand warmers for my mom.

It's too bad the black yarn makes the texture so hard to see. It's really nice and cushy up close.

Here's where we got the pattern for the stitch: http://www.lonestaryarns.com/waffle.html

That's a really nice scarf you made. I bet your brother will love it!! Make sure to post the handwarmers when you've finished them.

That scarf is beautiful!  It looks a heck of a lot better than my first crochet project, which I am about to unravel so that iI can use the yarn to make something that looks good!  Tee hee.

I love the yarn you used.

You're ambitious to take on a pattern stitch for your first project... It took me a year or two to tackle anything other than double.

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Congrats on your first project. You did a nice job on the waffle stitch. I'm sure the handwarmers will be great.
