I made this monkey from a pattern in Knitted Toys. I was tired of seaming everything together so by the time i had to stitch the eyes, nose and mouth i got a little lazy but its all good. I made this for my Best Friend's daughter. It was very simple to make and recommend the book to anyone who wants to make knitted toys for someone.

That is sooo cute! I wish I knew how to knit. I can just picture him with a little knit bananna too.

The recipient of this little gem is very lucky. I love the outbreak of knitted primates on this board. Good job!

Seaming is always a project killer!  The monkey looks great, got a name for him?

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Since Curious George the movie is being released today, I thought it would be fun to knit one. The only changes I made were to do the arms and legs in the round on dpns to eliminate having to sew up the seams. The hands and feet were knitted flat. The tail is a 9 st Icord. I also noticed that the pattern didn't indicate where to attach the tail so I just sewed it to the back where the butt would be.

you did a great job. i have that book and i really like it. i haven't tackled the monkey yet because my knitting skills don't feel good enough yet. yours looks even better than the one in the book. i really like his expression.
