Well... the moment I've been waiting for has finally arrived.... SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!  Keep in mind that having our first snowfall this late in the year is very unusual.   I remember one year it didn't come until Halloween - and we thought that was bad!  (It's sort of a tradition to be freezing outside on Halloween... that's why many of the costumes are stuffed to the max with warm clothes!)  So it was really depressing not to have snow this year for the fun night.   Anyways, here's Dr. Ivan outside on our back deck (not much snow... but it's the first snowfall, and we know we can expect tons more to come!)

Aw, Dr. Ivan is SO cute. I love pandas.

Btw - I know what you feel like about snow on halloween. We didn't get any this year either, and STILL haven't gotten a single snowflake. The other day, the high was 76 here in Nebraska. Crazy weather.  Roll Eyes

it was our first snow yesterday too!
it was a little too warm for it to collect anywhere, but that didn't stop robocop from trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue. good thing he had his scarf on.

Spock and I went with my brother and his wife to buy crawling shoes for my 6 month old nephew yesterday!!!  Spock wanted some shoes, too!  I had to tell him that sock monkeys don't have to wear shoes, ONLY SOCKS!!  He told me I told cheesy jokes and wanted another burger from McDonald's!

How cute!
That's a local? Are you in Australia? I would love to live somewhere with wild parrots!- or Lorikeets to be specific.

yup, that's a local. I am in Australia.
We have a pair of Lorikeets that visit everyday and tap on the glass or squark until someone goes outside
