i just opened my package from sporkx71!  she sent me the cutest lil green cozy!  it is grass green with ligher green polka dots on it!  it is super cool!  post pics if you got em sporkx71!  Thank you soooooo much...my i pod will be super cozy now!  wooop!

Yay! I received hercuteness' cozy today! It's a lovely burgundy taffeta recon and it's beautiful! It fits and it's functional too--unfortunately my digital camera's on an out-of town trip, so I can't take pictures for a while...perhaps the talented seamstress has some photos? Thank you so much! The package made my day!

She really paid attention to what colors I said I liked, and they both came out fantastic:

Here is the cozy that I sent to Synne.  She assures me that it fits, so I'll take her word for it.  It's made of synthetic taffeta from some old bridesmaid dresses.  It's actually the first recon project I've ever done for something that's not a t-shirt. 

I'm not a pro on my sewing machine yet, but I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.

The front is embellished with singed taffeta.  Yay synthetic fabric!  Very Punk Debutante.  It's strategically placed to hide a minor disaster.


Back/top.  hemming holes is hard. . . .


. . . so I used grosgrain ribbon and NoSew tape.  Does that make me a bad person?




Anyway, it was super fun to do.  I'll definitely be engaging in some more recon projects.
