Your veg. bin is awesome!!! I love it! How did you do it tho.?

Acrylic paints:
black, white, tan, brown, gold, olive/pear.

Varnish: high gloss

The bin was $25 from Salvation Army. First I cleaned and sanded it. I took the front loading doors off the hinges to paint the interior of the bins black.  Changed out the hardware from plain knobs to fleur de lis.

Masking tape makes the stripes.
I free-hand painted the leopard.
The dots were made with the tip of a skewer.
There's a harlequin/diamond design on the sides.Where the points meet I put an upholstery tac.
I glued wrapping paper on the back.
There are wooden doll heads as feet that are painted in a gold crackle finish.
Every thing is varnished with high gloss.

Hope this helps!

Just in case anyone else here ever listens to Bob and Tom, I'd just like to say, "Real, live Vegetable Bins going 'Woo' and 'Woohoo!'"  I LOVE that vegetable bin, and I'm quite sure that if it had vocal cords, it would be going 'Woohoo!'  Now I just need to find myself one of these!

Why thank you HornSister! Kiss
Bitty Boxes is my line of decoupaged boxes.
I purchase the boxes at the craft store, crackle finish and decoupage them. Most of them have corressponding images on the inside as well.
