oh! love the hat! was it hard to make? im a new knitter and looking for semi-easy patterns...

Easy enough.  it's pretty much a normal beanie pattern with added little flaps.  It's knits, purls, decreases, pick ups (for the other flap - not sure if that's the technical name for it), and an I-cord.

I love the color of the sweater. You're one of those lucky people who look good in orange. Kudos on the fair isle, I'm still too scared to try it!  Cheesy

I am so glad you said that yarn is itchy. (sucks though) I was going to order that yarn but hated that I didnt know how it feels. And I'm kinda a cheap ass so now I can get down with something soft. I love your color choice you did a great job. the sweater looks so nice espically from the back. i love it

i don't think i would've picked this as a first fair isle trial.  it would've been easier worked in the round.  on the knitting garden website, there's a pattern for a slip stitched hat that really helped me with colorwork.

I tried to find this slip stitched hat pattern but was unsuccessful. Could you post a link?  Wink thanks
