This used to be one of those crappy laminated pressboard shelves before we re-did it.We painted it out with chalkboard paint first, and then I painted the various designs on it(my mom helped). It also has silver glaze on certain spots as well as metallic gold and silver accents. We gave it to my cousin's son Max.We thought he needed some whimsy. Hope ya'll like it!

I LOVE THE FLOWES WITH FACES!
It reminds me of the flowers in Alice in Wonderland.
BEAUTIFUL!
I love the style you gave it.  The curls on the mouths really give it something.

Fabulous job! I love the faces and the clouds. Was the paint difficult to work with?

I just used regular acrylic paint to paint in everything but the black, so it was really easy to work with as long as the paint was thinned some. I drew the original design on with chalk and then I wiped the chalk off with a damp rag when I was done painting everything on. Grin
