happoned upon this totaly by accident as I was trying to make creamed potatoes and peas but I put too much milk in. . .so her goes:

*1 baking potato (pealed and choped)
*1/3 cup peas
*3 boulion cubes
*salt
*pepper
fill pot till foo is almost covered
bring to boil and cook till potatoes are fork tender (abt 15 min...)
in shakeable container mix
*1 cup milk
*2-3 tbl corn starch (I'm guessing cause I just dumped some in. . . Wink
add to potatoes and peas, then add
*dolup of ranch dip (or dressing, about 1/4 cup)

in seperate pan cook you meet, I used a chicken boobies, cook then chop n' add to soup

Vala. . .it was alot of scoup and dump and no measureing so I did alot of guessing here  Sad but figured since I had to write down this recipe (DH & I 's new fave potatoe soup) figured I'd share the weath  Wink

Sounds really good! And I love to find recipes where I actually have the ingrediants already, and don't have to run all over town to find things I've never heard of! Yay!!! Can't wait to try it!

You are a friggin' genius. I've had fights with my husband about weather or not it's okay to eat only potatos for a meal. And I put ranch sauce on nearly everything. His parents buy me half gallon jugs of ranch as presents. I've put it in mashed potaos before but never soup. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!

Well, that just goes to show, great minds think alike.  I always put a dollop of sour cream in mashed potatoes.  One time, I didn't have sour cream, because I had used it to make ranch dip, so I put the ranch dip in the potatoes.  Now that's how my family wants them all the time.  I often make potato soup out of left over mashed potatoes.  We put ranch dip on our baked potatoes, too.  Yum.

My DH is a ranch fiend Wink too. . .I buy the powdered dip in bulk (you can make a richer ranch by using 1/3 more powder) and keep sour cream as a staple.  He just got braces and can't have it with carrots (his normal) and he LOVES potatoes so it just seemed natural.

Have you seen the little free Ranch cookbooks?  It has about 20-30 ranch recipes including ranch tacos, tuna noodle casarole thing and other yummy ideas.
