Just found this forum last night (though I was too sleepy to remember how I found it...). My fiancee and I have lived in the Raleigh area (outside Fuquay to be exact) for a little over a year now (I've lived here before, first time for him) and we only have 2 friends! We're so anti-social, teehee.

I've been looking for crafty people to hook up with since I moved back, and have found a few, but none are really "my type" of people... They're good people, and nice people, but we're both a little - odd to say the least (how many people do you know with multiple piercings, funky hair, and "City Morgue" stickers on their cars? lol).

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't have any problem with different people, but I'm hoping to make some friends that not only share my interests in crafts, but music, entertainment, and otherwise. Are there any "gothy craftsters" here?

Regardless, I'd love to hear from any local craftsters. Smiley

I mostly sew, clothing, purses, etc. I also do some beadwork (jewelry), decoupaging (boxes mostly lol), and love to remodel my home/furniture (which I'm in the process of - and have been for months - doing now).

Hope this isn't too off topic. I'd love to hear back from some locals!

Hi there!  I'm new to the Raleigh area (Morrisville).  Been here since January.  You have more friends than we do!  I'm not gothy or anything, but I'm definitely not Cary-esque either.  How do I know?  Well, for one, I don't wear a fanny pack...

I'm 25, teach elementary school, and have a four year old daughter.  I have a million project ideas, but no time to do them.
