Here is the second in a series of large-ish projects inspired by the artwork of Beatriz Milhazes.  This bowl was painted for the birthday of my friend who first showed me the artwork.

thanks everyone!  y'all are so sweet.

I'm thinking it's time to move on from Milhazes. . .it's great for gifts, but she's already being ripped off by a clothing manufacturer. 

Over the summer I was flipping through a dELIA's catalogue and found a tube top with a design that could not be mistaken for anything other than a direct rip-off of Milhazes artwork. 

Now, of course, I can't find it on their website to show you, but I was stunned.  Unbelievable.  I wonder if she knows. . .
