A tea cozy is a cover for a teapot...Like a hat that is too big for it!

isnt that what the stove is for?

or is this for like, the afterfact..

when she says "A tea cozy is a cover for a teapot...Like a hat that is too big for it!" i think of like an oven mit, so that you dont burn your hand when your taking off the top?

i dont drink tea so i dont know, but everyone seems to want one of these, so i wanted to know what it was Smiley

after you boil the water for the tea, you put the water in a teapot with the tea bags or tea leaves. then you can take the tea pot to the table or whatever, and after it steeps, pour the tea into mugs. but if you only have a few people drinking tea, there will still be some tea left in the pot after you do that, and if you don't drink it fast enough, it will get cold! so tea cozies are often made of quilted fabric, padded fabric, or felted fabric, to help hold the heat in so that your second cup isn't cold!

and they often look like knitted hats, usually with a hole on each side (one for the handle, and one for the spout).
