I just had a party in my back yard and needed some extra lighting. These are some floating tiki candles I made for the Koi pond

They were super easy to make and were a big hit at the party

Awesome. I just saw a keg full of empty coconut shells at a garage sale (driving by) yesterday. Great idea.

yep-just regular coconut shells when some colored gravel in it. I melted the candle so it would stay

those are *super* cool. i wanted to say really quick (i just read this somewhere the other day) if you know you're going to have a candle lit for a long period of time, you should wrap it in foil and put it in the fridge for an hour before lighting it. it makes it burn a lot slower and last longer Smiley

again, BEAUTIFUL little floaties.

wow those are so cute! I saw the same thing on "while you were out" except they didn't float them on water, they strung them in a line so they hung from the wall/ceiling. yours looks much better IMO Smiley
