have you seen the cephal-ipod? http://store.muledesign.com/detail/cephalipod.html

I like yours more because you can see the screen Smiley Can you get the headphones in when it's in the case?

Aah the cephal-ipod is the cutest thing ever. I feel inspired.
It is possible to get the headphones in while the case is on. I considered making a hole for the wire, but right now it just goes out the side of the flap.

It's very cute Smiley

Is there a techno reason that gadget covers are felt?  I have some snazzy fabrics that would look cool  Tongue

I make lots of gadget covers out of felt and fleece because the edges don't ravel, you don't even have to finish the edges if you don't want to, or you can just finish with stitching. As the little parts get even smaller, it may get very difficult to turn under raw edges, so you're basically stuck with non-ravel fabrics.... I bet you could get a monster out of lots of different types of fabrics, though..

I was so inspired by yours that I made my own.

I don't know if that will work, but I thought it turned out pretty well.  It's made of blue fleece and embroidery floss, with puff paint for the eyes and a button closure.  I used clear plastic business card protectors for the screen, so it wouldn't get scratched.  Thanks for your awesome idea!

Anybody think of making a Domokun cover? It'd just be a brown monster with black eyes and ared mouth/white teeth.  Could be cute.
