Creepy Jesus: My friends are now referring to it as the "Solid as a Rock Jesus"

holy crap!  i saw it and it is real and i will never be the same.  i drove by that church a million times when i was younger and always though the church itself was a tad rediculous.  well, i live in columbus now (and generally avoid that stretch of I-75, because I-71 is my direct route to Cincy)

last month, i happened to be headed back towards dayton with my mom and i was in such shock that it took me a few minutes to remember this board that i read a while back.

while creepy jesus and solid as a rock jesus are both catchy, according to my mother, his official name is "touchdown jesus"

There is a thread on here about Target having yarn for $1. I went to the one off 675 on wilmington pike last night & they do have it. 90yrds, mostly novelty & some ok knitting needles

I'm a crocheter, but no I dont have a group. Right now I am doing extra work at my job so I have a sucky schedule that leaves me no time for a life.

Hey, I posted here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=50658.0 about knitting squares for afghans to be taken to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I'm posting here because after some squares are collected, we hope to have a sewing-up bee with food and knitting and crocheting for all! Yellow Springs Street Fair is tomorrow

wow, that seems expensive! But I've never sold at a show like this, so I'm not sure...Can't wait to check it out, though!

Just wondering if any of you have heard of the yarn store ShopHop that started on the 8th and runs through the 22nd.  My husband (he knits!) and I went all day Saturday and hit 7 of the 12 shops on the list.  There are quite a few in the Dayton/Cincy area but they spread as far as KY and IN.  We went clear to Lexington on Sat.  We can't go next weekend (camping trip) but we're hoping to finish it the following weekend.  Everywhere you stop you can register for a drawing at that store (usually a $50 gift cert) and then if you hit all 12 stores (each store you hit stamps your flyer) you can register for a $125 gift cert to the store of your choice.

Anyway, I thought it would be a funny coincidence if one of you were participating since everywhere we went they asked us where we were from and then they'd say, "Reallly, the lady who just left was from Dayton"... seriously!  Every shop but one said that.  We were following this lady and she had no idea.  It was nice because at least we knew we were following the map in the most efficient way possible:)
