Yay us!  I got my pattern too!  thanks to whoever said they'd e-mailed and gotten it!  A KAL sounds great -- maybe post-holiday!  No time just now, all that gift and charity knitting to do.  What was the gauge problem?  This is really a thick yarn at 9st/4".  Funny, it doesn't look that thick in the photo.

So glad we got our reward!

as far as the gauge...
(long story, I fear...)
This all started last week when I unraveled an old long cardigan coat/sweater that was a gift (didn't fit, unflattering, etc.).  I love the yarn, and wanted to still use it, so I began playing with it and ended up pairing it ith some inexpensive Peruvian wool from Elann. The goal was to 1. recycle, 2. make an inexpensive, warm sweater, 3. work in a bulkier gauge for more immediate gratification (I have been using a lot of size 3 and 4 needles lately....)
I didn't really have a pattern in mind, and began working with the Simply Marilyn pattern as a guide, but the yarn isn't quite right for the style of the sweater.  The recycled yarn is 50% wool, 25% mohair 25% something else and is heathery and fluffy tans and browns. The Peruvian wool is a heathered brown.  The two together are really textured and earthy, and then Marilyn needs a more streamlined yarn...
So, I saw this and liked the funkiness and thought the gauge would be perfect, but as you said yogaknitty, it looks much smaller in the photo...Who doesn't love a challenge? I am almost done w/ 1 sleeve, so I don't want to start over.  I may knit the body w/ 3 yarns held together to make it work...

because it has been given out free, if everyone thinks it is "okay" legally, I would be more than happy to cut and paste the pattern here.....what do people think?

Would you email it to me?  I'd love to have it.  I am going to frog my Simply Marilyn and I think the Cashmerino super Bulky would work just perfectly for this!  Since they are freely handing out the pattern I don't think it would be wrong to email it.

Woohoo!  I have mine - I am happy to mail mine out if anyone has problems with getting a copy from Skacel...  I don't see why it isn't ok to do this, as they are just sending it for free to anyone who is asking Cheesy  I'll need to size mine up tho (shouldn't be too hard when it is just increasing in the same spot at the right time) Sad  I need to add about 10 inches to the bust Sad  A notice for anyone who doesn't have this yet - there is only one size, which is medium and a 36 inch bust measurement.

oh my goodness i am so happy i came across this thread - i have been drooling over that sweater for like a month! Has anybody started this yet? I just got my pattern sent to me this morning and it has been immediatly pushed up on my to do list.  I did however notice that the bust was a little bit to small for me - i need something in the 38-40 range how can i adjust the pattern to make more room?

I got the pattern sent to me as a word document rather than a PDF.  There is no schematic.  And the directions are a bit sketchy but I'll bet that once I get going it will all make sense.  I hope. Roll Eyes  It would be good to have a KAL though.  I think I'm going to have questions.  Now I just have to take some deep breaths and frog that sweater.

Mine came as a word doc too, w/out schematic now that I think of it.  Hopefully that won't be a huge hinderance when I get around to knitting this.

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.
