Okay so this is my husbands hobby and in its own way it is art too.  He arranges the rock formations and cares for it all the time.  I think hes done a wonderful job and its beautiful.  It took a lot of work (and money).  It's just like living art.

Oooh, very pretty.  I'm not usually a fan of the fish tank either because I hate when they look all grimy and green. I love the purples; it seems like it would be a very soothing peice of art to have in the house.

I totally agree it's art.  Maintaining an aquarium is like nurturing a garden...except it's underwater.  His looks spectacular.

Thanks!  He just added some new stuff and when I told him I put a pic up he got mad.  Apparently it is an old pic and he wants me to put a new pic with all the new coral and his flame scallop. Undecided

How beautiful. I love to watch fish tanks. My family can't take me to certain restaraunts because I get to distracted to carry on a conversation for the beautiful fish. Smiley

That's lovely. Marine tanks are practically a full time job to maintain, too. That melanopus clown is beautiful, and they can be bred in captivity, too. And the corals are doing stunningly - he must be checking the mineral levels constantly.

How big is the tank? Is the white boxy thing in the middle a refugium?

tee hee, i have a flame scallop too and would certainly want it shown.  Wink We do the whole coral thing too and it is sooo expensive and sooo time consuming but totally worth it in the long run...
