i have some at-home hair dye kits, and i have impulsively decided to dye my hair right now.  problem: no gloves.  any ideas?  or can i just go with "naked" hands and test my luck?

interesting story:  i did mine with gloves the first few times.  once i got some purple dye on my finger tips after glove removal, and my mom was cleaning something with oxyclean, so i stuck my hand in it.  the purple disappeared!  next time i dyed, i didn't wear gloves.  just got the purple everywhere.  made a little bath of oxyclean, stuck my hands in.  uh-oh.  my fingers are yellow.  the yellow on my skin went away after a day or two, but the yellow on my fingernails lingered for WEEKS!
long story short: oxyclean good for little bitty stains.  not whole-hand stains.

smarmyclothes, oh my god!  ha ha ha thats a great story! not so good for your poor hands, but i will definitely use some oxiclean for little bitty colour accidents.

and annette, i just did it, waiting for the dye to do its business, and it worked pretty well!

a deep red-ish.  i have brown hair, so its not bam-in-your-face, but it actually changed it more than i thought.
