Definitely my favourite out of the set is the close-up of the grass blades. I really love how the shallow depth of field blurs it into abstraction; there's a lot of movement and direction and it uses the whole frame. Nice work.

The two black and white (desaturated?) photos don't really work for me. They're both very grey and washed out. The palm tree/sky one could be interesting, but the sky isn't really dramatic enough, so it's kind of just blank space. I know sweet FA about digital photography and Photoshop, but I am a little whore for the darkroom, so if I was printing that I'd try a longer exposure with a higher grade filter for more contrast to see what that does to the sky, then maybe dodge the trees to retain the detail there. I'm certain there's Photoshop wizardry to be done to copy that.

The two hibiscus photos are really pretty, but also rather washed out. Again, someone more adept with Photoshop would probably be able to help you with that.

Hope ths helps!

Thank you Smiley I don't really plan on printing them, I just wanted to experiment. Tongue Anyway, I really am not artist in anyway, but always liked to take pictures.

Thanks for your opinions/help! Cheesy Cheesy

I like the grass the best as it makes me imagine I'm an ant or a beetle scurrying about.  Smiley Ph x

I like the first one and the grass, i have no idea what the last one is, the hibiscus ones are nice but a bit washed out and so are the black and white ones, but still all very good photos!

I love your photos of flowers and grass.  I don't know what the last one is either, but it is interesting.  You have inspired me to post some of my things.
