You charge how much for a pair of old raggedy ripped up jeans?!?! I don't think so.

So I made my own. Inspired by this pair I saw in a Delia's catalog:

My version:

I happen to prefer my version, actually.  Tongue

I added a few more beads after these pics were taken and ended up taking that metal chain off (it was making noises when I walked, plus I thought it was a bit overkill) but I'm too lazy to retake the pics. You get the picture, right?

i love them! i totally agree on the destroyed jeans price.  once i was in a store with a pair of normal jeans and then the normal, but slightly destroyed jeans and guess which was more... THE DESTROYED PAIR!  yeah i mean why wouldn't you just buy the normal pair and destroy them yourself... much more individual that way. aiyiyi.

Yeah, it really baffles me. I guess the market is more geared towards non-crafty people who would never think to do it themselves? Huh I don't know.

That's a nice way to make your jeans look more personal!

I'm doing that too!!!! Except I've just been to lazy to finish. And I can't find a chain or old bracelet. And mine are REALLY destroyed. We're talking Freddy Krueger trying to take a slash at my butt. I gotta fix that...

your rose applique is fabulous. and the fact that u designed it yourself automatically makes it cooler than expensive store bought jeans in my book!
