Has anyone tried this bag? I just bought some yarn to start it, it says that you only need 1 skein?? Sounds too good to be true!

Just wondering if anyone has knit it and if so, how did it turn out?

I've done it and it turns out lovely! It really does use very little yarn. *nod, nod*

I've made two (will post pic's once the second has been fulled) and they're pretty darn cute. My only complaint was in the twisted handle...keeps rolling off my arm. The second time around, I did a 6 st i-cord instead of the twist because the rolling bugged me so much. Plus there's definitely leftover yarn to spare. Now I'm trying to think of what to do with the bits left over...

I've made one, too!  It is indeed very lovely...but with one skein, it's a smallish bag mind you...a fun, quick project.

SO, I finished the bag and plan on felting it tonight. I do want to line it though, has anyone done that with this bag? I don't have a sewing machine so it will all be by hand, does anyone have any tips on how to line a bad that isn't a square? This bag is smaller at the bottom so i am thinking that might cause problems. Also, what is the name of that stuff you iron on to "sew" things together? Does you think that would work???

This is a gift to my boyfriends mom so I am trying to get it perfect!

Thanks!

I'm actually planning on lining the last bag I made. My thoughts were to measure the dimensions of each side of the bag and cut out fabric accordingly, adding a seam allowance. Then hem top edges & whipstitch everything together; do a test fit in the bag & if it's snug, go ahead and sew the seams together. Turn right-side out and hand stitch it to the inside of the purse, making sure you don't go all the way through the felt (so that you can't see the stitches on the outside). Anyway, that's my thought. I'm also thinking of adding a magnetic clasp to keep everything in the purse when I'm driving.
