I was going to make a DVF dress I saw in vogue or glamour or something this summer, but it became my mom's project as I didn't have time to figure it out.  She did a great job...I used it on vacation over my bathing suit.  It was made from Ikea curtains from the as-is section (It is a gauzy material)

This dress is from a simplicity pattern and made from a duvet cover from the Ikea as-is bin (I stock up  Smiley)  My mom helped me with the zipper as I haven't got that down yet, and we made the back criss-cross for a better fit.  Please excuse the wrinkles.

Thanks!  I love their as-is section, everything is very cheap.

I just found the pattern, it was Simplicity 4560 view D.  I don't think I had the correct size, so it had to be altered quite a bit.

Woah, did you check the measurements?  Maybe they aren't too far off from yours.  My size is always bigger in pattern sizes than in store bought clothes.  It wasn't too tough to make.  The pattern I had was too big though, so my mom helped me adjust it to fit a little better.
