Oh god how much do I love the ruby red slippers?! I only ever saw "Return to oz" tho... But anyway, I saw a girl on campus I like to call Dorothy coz she had red glitter shoes, I bought some in Camden which are red SEQUINS Cheesy both look good but I think I prefer glitter, even tho the sequins shed way less than my pink glitter AND stars shoes  Grin Which I got for 3.99... whats that in dollars? um... $5?? I dunno. PLUS it was buy one pair get one free... so I got my gf a pair too  Wink hooray for kids shoes eh lol... now I know 3 ppl with the same pink shoes!

I love the green ones, green RAWKS... do you think you could do like stripey glitter shoes?? that would rock out, or a mixture of glitter and sequins or something...

The possibilities are endless!! hehe  Grin

For the past 7 years or so, I've been seeing Ruby slippers at Target for little girls, and thinking, "Why do little girls get to have all the cool shoes?"

Aha!  Not so anymore.  Now, can you make a pair of jellies?

I made myself a pair too, for my winter semi-formal.  They were just a pair of pink ballet flats, that I got for 10$ at Old Navy.

ok, so the day after seeing this, i tried making a pair in green. when i went to payless they had one pair left in the kids sizes in pink and they fit and then they were also on sale so i was super pumped  Cheesy..anyways i painted mine green to begin with, then applied E6000 and the glitter, and then gave em two coats of clear acrylic sealant.  i've worn them like 3 times now and they're holding up really well..

someone said to me "umm.. i think the shoes are suppose to be ruby and the city is suppose to be emerald, so where do those take you?" me:"ruby city, duh"  Smiley

anyways, great project, super easy, thank you mortimer_frog!

i love the red ones, but seeing these made me just squeal!!
yay! i want royal blue ones    Cheesy

I'm working on that!

so far you need a soldering gun, some LEDs , and a pressure switch..

WoW O WoW!  I have always loved Dorothy's Ruby Slippers and there they are as beautiful and charming as hell!  Good job.  Absolutely stunning!

I also like the other shoes that were posted as well.  Pretty exciting stuff.  (as I look around to see what I can glitterize . . .)
