One of our favorite knitbloggers, Wendy from Knit and Tonic, has created her own wonderful pattern! Marilyn's Not-So-Shrunken Cardigan.

I cast on yesterday, and wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining me...

I'm making this one a priority...I love the ruffles...Although i have 5 projects in the queue...Here is a quick progress shot.  I'm using Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino in teal.

It's so soft, I love it!

I cast on and got a few inches in but found that my gauge is a bit tight. I'll move up to #7 needles and see how that feels. I'm using Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool and it's gorgeous! A little bit slubby and soft and suedey at the same time.

Yay - another taker!

My guage is a bit tight too, but since most of the measurements are in inches, rather than rows, I think I'll be ok.

The only part I don't really get so far is "...keep knitting... until the raglan part of the sleeve measures 9.5" (10", 10.5"..."

Is the raglan part of the sleeve the diagonal line where the increases are, or is it the length or width of the sleeve part?

help!

Im finally in the decreasing portion woohoo!

julsey, she means the width between the two sleeve markers.  It needs to be a certain number of inches wide to go around your arm.  hope that helps!

Actually, yahaira, I emailed her directly on this one (because I knew I couldn't fit it around my arm at only 10.5 inches!)

"it is the diagonal line....

hope this helps!

Wendy"

weird I went by the width like I said and it fits perfectly.  I would hate to see how it would look if the raglan line was 13.5" the way the pattern states.  my arm is 13.5" inches around so I guess thats why I took it to mean that oh well  Smiley
