I just finished my first Knitted Babe from Claire Garland's book. Is anyone on Craftster making these? Here's her official site. There is a blogger knitalong but I'd like to see some Craftster's babes here.

Anyone want to join me here?

Hey! I'd love to joing this KAL but I need to get the book first. I think I'll have to order it online because I haven't seen it at any of the B&N's I frequent. BTW I shut down my first xanga knitting blog (ball_cozy_knitter) so if you see me commenting on your xanga under this name you know.

My first babe is finished and dressed. I knitted the raglan sweater and crocheted the skirt. I'll post the crochet skirt pattern on my blog later.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's babes. I'll be making more of these for my 7 nieces.

I just got this book last friday, and one of my younger sisters exclaimed that she wants one for xmas.  I was so happy that she was excited about them because I bought the book with her in mind.  She's 14 and I'm 27 and I find it hard to predict her likes/dislikes; she changes so quickly.  I think I'm going to make her one with red hair and freckles, but I don't think I'll go with the whole cowgirl theme.  This is a really fun book; a little bizare, but really fun.  A knitalong for this is a great idea!  I can't wait to see the different variations of these dolls posted here.
