Stickers.  many, many stickers, lol
I have a bunch on my guitar case (which is also plain and black):

Type in "suitcase" in the craftster search window. There's several fantastic ideas...paint, decoupage, etc.

In a magazine a few years back I saw colorful autumn leaves glued on a suitcase then covered with several coats of clear polyurethane.

Hope this helps!

I felt the same way about my clarinet case. I decorated it by drawing a heart on it in pink nail polish, and tying a ribbon around the handle. If i ever want to sell it the nail polish can be taken off with some polish remover. Smiley

I second that. I think stickers were the fav in our band.

Ha! I play the french horn also! But I have to rent a school's instrument so I can't decorate my case. My band teacher uses a clarinet to show some diagram-y thing. The case it comes from is decorated with music stuff in white out. It looks really pretty. Please post pictures when you're done.

you oughta see my case...i've covered it with stickers and cartoons covered in plastic wrap and taped on. But the  nail polish sounds like a good idea too. Maybe I should unstick all my stickers and try that... I wonder how long it'd stay on???

I wish I had an interesting suggestion for the instrument case, but I just can't come up with one.  But on to the ads at the bottom of the page:  I'm getting the nail polish remover ad--and one for a "Urine Remover Recipe."  I think I win.  Cheesy
