I always wanted one to put pictures and whatnot on, but I couldn't find any cheap ones that I liked.  So I made my own (pink of course!).  It's definately not perfect, but no one ever notices because they're too busy looking at the pictures I stick in it.

I think it's fantastic! I love that you used the ribbon to form rectanges instead of squares. What materials did you use? I've wanted to make one for awhile. There's an area in my office that needs something, and I think that would be perfect.

no fury- thanks! I just kinda winged the whole thing.  I used a piece of cardboard and then a layer of quilting stuff for some cushioning.  Then I just stuck some fabric on (stapled it to the back) and used upholstery tacks (painted with glittery nail polish  Wink ) to stick ribbon on.  The back of it looks like hell, but I figured no one would see it since it against the wall.  But I sure it would be easy to back it with more fabric.

They are really easy, i made mine with one of the old sheets off my bed (so it would match the room) i actually did a set of four, so it's kinda a piece of art too.

I didnt, but that might be a good idea 'cause my cork was being bendy...unless you buy a corkboard, which is usually at least framed in wood, so you wouldnt need to.

Love the color combo!  I have a home-made message board as well and  I pin my sparkly jewelry to it.  I used a pre-stretched canvas (ugly old painting I was never gonna fix) and cotton batting for the base of mine.
