I think I have everybody updated on the main page...This swap's taking a while to be officially over and I've started school now so I havent been as on top of this as I could've been.

As far as I know, NoSleep and Lemairia have yet to receive... So ...at least with NoSleep, if she doesn't receive soon, I'm going to be looking for another swap angel...But I may give it a while because it IS the holiday season for thepost office, and as much as it sucks to wait for a package, I know that stuff gets backed up there. I know stuff should be there already, or very soon, but if not, I'd wait a little while. I may send something just for the wait factor though, because I know how much it sucks to have to wait.

Waiting for two people to receive their packages. NoSleep's partner has been inactive on Craftster but said she sent a month ago (roughly), so I've taken it upon myself to find a Swap Angel for NoSleep. PM me if you are interested.

Madmatigan79 put her package in the mail, but it's the holiday season, so it may take a few days.

Can't wait for this swap to be over  Undecided

Thanks everyone for being a part of this!

I checked the tracking number on Canada Post - it still only says "received at postal outlet" and that was on Dec. 6th!?!! The guy at the post office told me that it should take 2 weeks maximum to arrive...guess with all the extra Christmas mail, all bets are off.

Sorry that you are having to wait so long, lemairia!!  Embarrassed

Well, the US Postal Service didn't do such a great job getting the package to me, but Madmatigan did a FANTASTIC job of putting it together.  Thanks so much to my angel!

Here are some photos of my loot from Regina, Saskatchewan:

The overview: hat, t-shirt, DVD of a Canuck comedy, CD of local/regional tunes, woven wheat ornament, brochures, maps, newspaper, CFL team air freshener... so marvelous.

A closer view (hope you can see the brochure in the far right corner for "Peg's Legs" market, featuring sausage and pierogies on the front cover

The Hat:  What exactly is a wheat pool, anyway?

The T-Shirt:   This cracks me up!  Nice work on the design!!

Thanks so much for being a swap angel.  It was really cool to get this package and learn about your city--we have to decide now when we want to visit...personally I'm thinking that the "Agribition" sounds like a mighty fine time.

According to their website (http://www.swp.com/), the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool is "a publicly traded agri-business". It is the Wheat Pool that handles & markets farmers' grain, etc. Funny the things that you take for granted growing up in a particular area - I didn't even think to include an explanation with the hat. It is a typical farmer hat and mention 'the Pool' to any Sask-born & bred person and they will know what you are talking about.

Sitting here and actually thinking about it though, it actually does sound pretty funny - a wheat pool...  Grin

Same thing with Agribition (the annual agricultural exhibition). Never considered the idea that perhaps it was not a universal term.  Undecided

Glad you are enjoying everything!

I live in BC, and I remember driving by the wheat pool silos in Vancouver as a kid and thinking that people swam in kernels of wheat like Scrooge MacDuck in the money in that old cartoon.  I think that would feel lovely (if they were hulled)!
