this is insane...I mailed my package on the 20th of Oct.  They said it could take 5-7 days, it's been 8 days today and when I tracked it here is the path it has taken and I don't think she has yet to receive.

Enroute, October 26, 2005, 3:27 pm, DES MOINES, IA 50395
 Enroute, October 24, 2005, 8:37 pm, WARRENDALE, PA 15095
 Enroute, October 21, 2005, 8:32 am, HAZELWOOD, MO 63042
 Acceptance, October 20, 2005, 11:47 am, ALTON, IL 62002

Mind you it was going to PA as it's final destination, which it was there but then went back to Iowa.

Man Burghgirl I really hope you get it, I can redo parts of it and will start if you don't receive it by early next week.

That's really weird, I don't know how common that is with packages, but that really seems quite insane. I'd hold off on starting up another package for at least a few days, because sometimes it does take longer than expected. . I dunno. That is just really odd. Can you call the post office perhaps to ask about it? That's what I'd do. But who knows...maybe she'll get it tomorrow? I'm a little confused by the dates tho, how could it be accepted the first day you check on it? I'm sure it's probably a typo, possibly. Still tho, if you are worried, I'd try calling them, or waiting a few more days.

Okay, I just checked it and it says it's Enroute again, or still. This is what it says;

"Status: Enroute

Your item was processed and left our DES MOINES, IA 50395 facility on October 26, 2005. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

That package is going on some crazy journey! I swear the post office must make it harder for the little darling parcels Wink  I'm sure it'll get there, because if it was lost in the abyss, I doubt it would still be updated every evening. At least they still have track of it, at least since two days ago  Huh (I'm lost on my days a bit and just checked the date)

I'd just keep an eye on it, because it didn't say that it was received yet.

This is getting pretty bizarre.  I'm gonna hold off till Monday to see if it shows up today.  Then I'll call the office and see what they tell me.

I won't be around much this weekend anyway and have a day off on Monday so maybe I'll actually go in and see how normal that route is.  Depending on their answer I'll start trying to get a second package together.

Dumb post office.... Tongue

Ok here are the pics from my great package from Burghgirl.

The whole package....

She sent me all sorts of flyers and pamphlets on the Pittsburgh area.  I really love the book and her note saying she really talks like this.  LOL

The scrap book (which is also a photo album)  was very cute.  I'm only showing a few of the pages so you get the idea.  She listed famous people, firsts, and foods from the area.

Ketchup (which I didn't realize came from PA), a clark bar, and recipes (I'll be trying the Pecan ice cream balls for sure).

And my absolute favorite...I love hockey this is so funny, I wish I had known you were a huge fan...I may have to send you something else...LOL.

I love this stuff Jill, thanks so much.  I hope when you ever get yours (it was back in PA yesterday) you like it.

Woohoo  it's not lost...

Your item was delivered at 12:57 pm on October 31, 2005 in PITTSBURGH, PA 15216.

I don't see how when I paid for 5 day shipping it took 11 days but oh well at least it made it.  I hope it really did atleast.
