This is what I received from motleycruiser  Grin

very sweet hat and a ladybug that I am guessing is a bookmark - I might just sew it onto the hat somehow because it's too cute

bag of chips, you can't tell but I have enjoyed half of the bag so far, buckeye nuts, travel photo album

recipes from a local market, a recipe for Buckeye candy written by miss motleycruiser and lots of blanks, a cute tiny straw bag and a ziplock full of great buttons- love the colors & I've been looking at buttons lately. thanks Smiley

flyer's from a craft store, restaurants, new age mag, local candy catalog, - 2 post cards from the cracker barrel (I've been to one somewhere along my Rt.66 road trip - ?Arkansas maybe?) - a printed history on Ohio and some more local papers.

Well I guess the person who I had mail my package didnt include the note  Angry

Yep your butterfly is a bookmark, that is our state bug. And the hat is done in Ohio state colors. I also sent an apology if the Hustler flyer offended you, but I thought the pic on it was really cool & Larry Flint started his 1st store here (ohhh the claim to fame ohio has...lol)
I sent you the buckeyes cause we are the buckeye state but they are also great to keep around if there is a really long winter & you have poor little squirrels who run out of food.

FYI That craft store is great for getting things in bulk, they have a pretty good website.

No prob I can post the recipe when I get home.....

no note and thanks for explaining. I will definitely check out that craft website and nope you didn't offend me one bit with the hustler pic. That was tame compaired to the Exotic Erotic Ball in SF, which BTW is a blast. You must have some strong squirrels because those nuts are hard.

Buckeye Recipe

~makes about 100 (can be cut in 1/2)

Buckeye Candy
3 lbs confectioners sugar
2 lbs peanut butter, preferably chunky
1 lb butter
2-3 tsp vanilla
24 oz chocolate chips
1/4 bar paraffin

Mix together the first 4 ingredients until totally blended. You will
probably want to start with a spoon and finish with your hands. Roll
the mixture into balls the size of walnuts. In a double boiler, melt
the chocolate and paraffin. It helps to shave the paraffin to make it
melt faster. Using a toothpick, dip the balls into the chocolate about
halfway and then tip them back and forth to make the buckeye.
Refrigerate until chocolate hardens.

I got my package from Dragonmuse several days ago but am finally around to posting a pic. The coolest part is I'm going to NY next summer for a wedding. My DH and I will probably stay a week so we'll have plenty of time to visit. Dragonmuse sent a bunch of brochures for arty places and a whole book on traveling to NY. The broadway magnets were very cool, especially since I'm reading Wicked right now.

That bag is even bigger in person and will make an excellent knitting bag-plenty of room to hold my projects. Thanks Dragonmuse!

Okay, as much as I don't like to do this, I had to. I have given negative feedback to the following people because I do not recall having heard from them in quite some time. I gave them until yesterday to send their packages. I see negative feedback as motivation, not as punishment. Fufilling one committment before another is better than having a ton of late swaps.
