I found a fab wool shop in Turriff, on the corner of crown street and woodlands cresent. Sold other craft stuff, but as you walk in it looks like a clothes shop.

Hello Smiley

Im from Aberdeenshire originally, but have been away a while and just come back. I have to confess to leaving a massive stockpile of scraps behind, so I havent had to buy fabric for a while, but itś all about the Remnant Kings if I do in Aberdeen. Or I buy second hand clothes and scrap them up.

At the moment Im putting together an etsy store (not lauched yet) and have kicked off my blog of the things I make. Not much on there yet. Does anyone put together or particpate in an craft shows in Aberdeen. There are one or two ones in Glasgow that i really like (miso funky etc.) and wondered if there was an equivalent in Aberdeen. If not is anyone interested in starting one? Where does anyone retail their crafts in Aberdeen?

I mostly sew, knit and felt things but I also like electronics and things. Someone mentioned a crafty cup of coffee a wee while ago, would anyone be up for it?

But yeah, all a bit serious Smiley

I just started a blog - itś not very full but its getting there! Have a look and see...

Seattle quilt is good for fabrics and they offer some really great quilting classes.  They actually offer some classes other than quilting as well, for example there is going to be a beginners introduction to needle sculpted doll making in august.

Yay! people from Fraserburgh are on craftster!

I live in the broch but travel through to aberdeen for college, i'm 22 and studing fashion and textiles.
Has anyone been into the 'craft' shop in the market(nae sure if it's got a proper name) the dude sells lots of different stuff, looks kinda like a wool shop but it's worth a look.
It's a great shame piplows in the broch shut, makes me want to open up a craft shop in fraserburgh as there is still so much demand!

Fee X

Hi there,

I just started Uni in Aberdeen this week and I already love it here.

I read through all the tips of where to get crafting supplies, I've been itching to do some crafting again.

I'd be up for the crafty cup of coffee!

Uh, greys?

I study English & Scottish Literature and Philosophy at Aberdeen University, if that's what you mean.

Should we just set something up for the crafty cup of coffee in few weeks time and see if anybody else comes along? I think a weekend day would work best for me, because I haven't quite worked my timetable and social activities out yet. I don't know any nice place for a meetup though, how 'bout you?
