I'd love to do this swap!

I can't believe I still haven't seen the movie! I'll see it this week I guess, since my next exam isn't till Dec 21st and I'm not going to start studying for it until the night of the 20th. I'm sure many of you have seen it, so I have a question: is the wardrobe plain like in the book, or is it all ornate and mysterious like the cardboard version I yelled at in a bookstore? Because if the wardrobe is fancy-looking, it changes an entire thematic dimension of the novel.

I went and seen the movie saturday. It was awesome!

Ok, don't yell at me! But I haven't read the books. I have never even heard of it..LOL..When I was a kid, I read adult romance novels. It's all that was in the house! My mother read those, and I would read them after her. And our very small town had a small library, but not a big selection. All they had were donations. And for the teen section, all they had was things like the nancy drew series or teen romance books. So my reading was limited.  ALL the books were stored on small book shelves in a 12x12 room in the back of the town history museum which also was another very small room. The population of my town was only about 600 people. And when I graduated there were only 34 graduates! And that was every senior graduating!

But I am hoping to get the series soon. I know the books are always better than the movies.

Yes, the wardrobe was kind of plain. Wasn't very ornate. IMO. My kids went and seen it with us, and they loved it!

craftymomof2b: That is THE saddest story I have ever heard. I'm sorry Cry I hope you read these books with your kids. I think everyone should read them at least once during childhood and at least once during adulthood.

I'm re-reading the entire series at the moment.  I'm on the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  I love these books!  If this swap gets off the ground I totally want in!
