My boyfriend bought me this vintage blazer at a thrift store, and it fits great but was a little plain. Enter some of those wonderful fabric samples I got online!! This was my first embroidering venture and I think it turned out all right. I love these colors and textures for fall. The blue birds are suede. Still working on the back..

Oh, i really like the embroidery, how it kinda modernizes the older yet funky style of the blazer. Very snazzy!

That's a great use of fabric samples. Maybe I should spice up some clothes with my fabric scraps. This reminds me of a sweater a friend of mine sewed crows onto. I'll have to show her this.

Shocked That's a really pretty jacket. Makes me want to find one and make one exactly like it.

This makes embroidery easier!  It's called "Heat and Bond" and you buy it by the yard at your local fabric store, and you just take an iron on a medium setting and iron the fabric to one side, and then cut out your designs, and then you iron the other side to whatever you want, in this case the blazer.  I made a cool pair of jeans like this earlier last week, once you iron on your patches, you can work around the edges with a machine or handstitch it..
Heat and Bond, it's good stuff! Grin
