I'd love to participate in a wigjig type craftalong!  I have no clue as to what is involved (I'll find out after I check out the website!) but I think it would be fun Smiley

ive been following this  a bit and finally have time to craft for myself! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy well, actually, i made these for someone else, but i started wanting to make something for myself Smiley

i dont have a wig jig, anyone know where i can get a used one to try it out? haha, i had to use a nail to twist them around...i think the wig jig thing could be aLOT easier.  anyhow, thanks for the beautiful idea!

Love the earrings green monk - you did good without a wigjig

Here's instructions on how to make one - it would be a good thing to practice on till you could buy one

be warned tho - a lot of popups...

Hey there, nice job. you are on your way.
some tips for wire work, if you want them???  Roll Eyes

I find you need to work the wire to firm it up. thats what you do in silver smithing and it works well with the costume wire too.

you can do it with just wiggling with fingers, but I like to firm up all my wire pieces, using a gentle couple of taps with my jewellers hammer. make sure  you use an old piece of leather and place the pieces between the leather, so you dont mark your work with the hammer. it works well. just a couple of taps and check, flip, tap etc.  Tongue

thats a trade secret i picked up which has worked well for me.  Wink

cheers cyndiq

oh thats interesting! do you mean before you wrap it to make the shape, or after? i think someday i would love to do some real jewelry making, but it will probably have to wait til im out of school  Tongue

so yesterday i wanted to make another pair so i did Smiley using my nail again, this shape was a LOT easier! Tongue i feel kind of glamourous wearing threm, although the squarebit is a teeny big large.
