Janakisses that is beautiful! I love it, the colours used are so pretty and it's sweet the way you have added the hope charm!

Thank you!

I adopted this same technique and made my necklace for my fancy Christmas party, but I don't have a picture of it because it was bought right off my neck.  I had a black velvet, halter style dress, so I knew whatever I made could not be too intricate around my neck.

I made a Y necklace and used the beads and headpins down the stem part of the Y so it was a "noisy necklace".  I ended up making some bails out of sterling silver wire and putting 2 drop beads on each side of the stem, at even intervals, so I did not just have plain chain.

I wanted to take a picture of it, but what could I do?  A husband bought it right off my neck for his wife for Christmas and I knew I would never wear it again (I love to make stuff but do not wear much jewelry myself, I usually give it away to co-workers).  He offered me 50.00 for it and I could not pass that up when it only cost me about 5.00 to  make it (had the beads, needed the sterling chain and clasp).

My daughter asked me to make one last night for her best friends birthday (they are 12), so I was able to get a picture this time.  It lays really pretty when it is on, but not so well in this picture.

This is blue/green, but my other one was in black and silver.  (I also made earrings for my black one, but not this one, that were smaller versions of the stem part of the Y and just put them on hooks.)

"Noisy" Y Necklace:

Where do you find such pretty beads? Thats the type I was going to make because I don't know anyone who wears bracelets but I can't find any beads that I deam worthy of becoming a noisy necklace.

All of those beads, except the focal bead, came in one bag from Michaels...I think they were Blue Moon Large Light Saphire Mix.  The focal bead came from Hobby Lobby and it is a Blue Moon Dichoronic Glass Bead.

I must have missed those when I went to Michaels. I'll look again soon...its a 45 min drive though so it will be a while before I get a chance to make that trip.

I really like the noisey 'y' neckslace might have to make one of those even though I have made 2 noisy bracelets.  You can never have enough jewellry IMO.

Everyone is so talented! I have been tempted into taking apart one of my old christmas charm bracelets (I bought it a few years ago for $20...not a good purchase as it wasn't that pretty), and am working on my bracelet right now. Hopefully I'll have it done in an half hour or so!
