I just wanted to share our wedding pictures.  We got married June 28th and it was concert themed.   We got lucky and found an art center that had a theatre and an art gallery...so we had the concert and wedding portion in the theatre and the reception in the gallery.  When we rented the place they weren't sure what the exhibit was going to be...and we got very lucky (for us) it was an interactive circus theme!! It was so much fun.  All the bridal party, family and special guest, wore concert t-shirts that we had made.  A friends of mine designed the shirts to resemble the revolver Beatles album.  I made paper flowers for all the centerpieces (with help from my sister in law). We had wristbands and guitar picks as our favors.  My rock string quartet, the stringents, a local band called Grandpa Griffith, and a local artist Lisa Curl put on the concert.  It was great fun...anyway...here is the link to the pictures.  I've explained more under some of the pictures!

Thanks for looking!   Smiley

Cellojenn,

Brilliant ideas, some of the freshest I've seen.  Pom poms!!! I wondered what they were for after I saw the first photo.  And the t-shirts are a perfect favor.
Great job.

Cellojenn, I love your wedding photos! They're so fun, unique, and vibrant (the circus exhibit is FABULOUS--I think my favorite photo is the group one with your groom holding up the 'barbell') Congratulations!

I love this thread.
I'm not even engaged yet, I don't think the boy will ever ask me.
I get emotional (not in a bad way) everytime I look at or talk about wedding stuff though.
*fingers crossed*

I couldn't watch a wedding on tv, be around engaged people, or read a book that had a wedding scene in it because it made me weepy because it was so beautiful. I accepted that my life was rich, and full, and had a lot of freedom but there was just something about a wedding, that made me sigh. I am the poster girl for always a bridesmaid never a bride.

I'm 41 now, and a guy I dated in high school found me after 22 years, and we fell in love. Neither of us have been married before or have kids. We're getting married next October surrounded by friends and family who are soooooooooooooooooo ooo happy for us both. We are no less in love than younger couples and we are far more grateful that we found love at this point in our lives. Sniffle.

*misty eyed*
Best to you both.

It is only about weddings and babies, (and only sometimes with babies) that my cynicism melts away. I think this is because people love is so awesome, but also because there is no poop involved with loving weddings.

 For sure!

Cellojenn, your wedding looked like a blast! I love those tee shirts, and I see you two had to shake it to the cha cha slide. I did it, but I still don't really get it!

On a personal note, my pro photos finally came in! We had our reception on July 5. Here are a few faves:
