We were married on a Toronto streetcar and had our reception in our backyard. With such a non-traditional venue, white seemed a bit strange so RED it was! My lovely mum made the dress. Excuse the ugly shoes, I broke my ankle 6 weeks before the wedding and only had the cast off for two days. Seemed a bit too risky to wear heels...

i found it almost impossible to choose some of my favorite pics from our wedding, i was so happy with how it turned out, but here are a few:
we had it at a b&b in hudson, ny called the mount merino manor, that i would highly, highly recommend to anyone in the area who wants to get married and have a place to stay for the family all in one spot.  our hosts were perfect.

and the most important part of any event, the desserts.  we made three different tiers and covered them with tiny cakes of all kinds (cheesecake, chocolate, key lime pie, pecan pie) instead of an actual wedding cake...that way, everyone gets something they like.

I have to say, I think I rock too! It was an awesome day, so much fun and believe it or not, zero stress. We're pretty irreverent people and decided not to have a wedding, just a wicked party that we happened to get married at. The streetcar picked up us and our guests at the local pub where we met and we got married on the streetcar on the way over to our new house for the reception. It's our second anniversary next week and people are still talking about it.



As you can see, we were on the 4004 car. Now we look for it everywhere!



The wedding cake. All of the food was finger food so we decided the cake should be too. The kids LOVED them.



The reception in our backyard. Our poor little lawn still hasn't recovered.
