starburst ipod case

i wasnt going to post this because its nothing too special.  however, last night i droped my ipod from THE 4TH FLOOR FIRE ESCAPE and someone on the street threw it up to me and it still works!!!!!  im not sure if this is normal or an act of god, but i think i owe it all to my super durable starburst ipod case.  its been on for many months and is still holding up, so here it is. 






the color scheme isnt so great but i love it anyway!

how does one make such a durable ipod holder?
1.  wrap the ipod in tape so that the sticky part is outwards.
2.  cut out all the spots where the dial and the face of the ipod is
3.  cover the ipod in starburst wrappers
4.  cut out a little piece of plastic, like clear paper protectors, for the screen
5.  cover in tape

Dude, that's pretty cool. I want to make an iPod case for a friend of mine, but I don't actually have one to tape over. Idea idea what pattern I would use?

Thats amazing. I love all things starburst! YAY. but i have droped my ipod mini loads of times, and it still works, so it might be normal. but never down 4 floors...hrm? Really, really amazing ipod case tho!

SO cute!! how is it that you drop yours 4 stories and i drop mine three feet and have disaterous results!?!?

did you cut the tape while it was on the ipod? what did you use to cut it?

im telling you, the magic is in the starburst case!  what i did was i traced what i was going to cut out and then took offthe tape  and then cut it out according to that.  and i dont really know what to do if you dont have an ipod to use... maybe you can borrow it for a few hours?
