I was wondering if anyone is interested in a DEPART-ment style sale for next year.  Instead of each craft person staffing their own booth, the venue is set up like a store, with items grouped together. There is a central checkout.  Artists volunteer for a shift. Once it gets organized, it could be set up on a regular basis. There is more info at www.depart-ment.com
Lemme know if you are interested.

Hi there! That's a good idea, and something I considered for No Coast. I wonder if maybe we could some smaller sales during the year set up this way. it's a good way to make it really boutique-like. It's just harder for the organizers to dole out all the money at the end.

I would be totally down for it! If you get it organized I would love to be a vendor!!!!
It would be a cool idea to have a department style sale at a restaurant, community center, banquet hall, or a gym. It would pretty much work well in any open indoor area.
One thing that would be difficult is the division of profit like pumpkingirl said.
