Very bright peasant dress for school!

I am making a bunch of dresses and skirts for Emma to wear to kindergarten. Here is the one she wore today...

It was an easy one. I used simplicity 5695 and appliqued the flowers on the bodice. I'll post the others when she wears them

The dress is ALMOST as cute as Emma!!!!! I just love the happy colors. I wonder if they have the pattern in "big girl" sizes.LOL

TOO SWEET!! I love this. I bought the same fabric (squares) to make something for my daughter. Did you have an easy time with the pattern? I'm so scared of patterns; I always have such a hard time with them.

They didn't agree on much. In fact they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time and they challenged each other everyday. But in spite of their differences they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.

Thank you for all the great comments! The dress went over well, the teacher loved it

adtarver71, the pattern was really easy, I think the hardest part was getting the gathers even on each tier, maybe because there wasn't very much extra to gather. I think if I make it again I'll add extra fabric to each panel, so there is more of a ruffle effect. I almost always use a pattern, I'm afraid to sew without one!
