Ok. recently i was visiting my parents and found my old bead kit with tons of treasure and got inspired. so here's a bunch of jewelry that i've completed since then. mostly necklaces, but a few earrings as well...

bone earrings:

jingle jangly necklace:

antique necklace:

earrings to go with my upcoming bridesmaid dress:

surprise bead combo earrings:

nonsymmetric (is that even a word?) necklace:

and lastly, long messy necklace:

feel free to comment either way - I can take it! and thanks for looking!

Great work.  You have some very interesting beads.  I love it when people make asymmetrical jewelry.  Smiley

I really love the antique neckalce and the ones with multiple layers and pendants...this style is something I've been thinking of trying to craft myself and you do such a great job. I'm jealous!!

Oooo, you jewelry maven, you. I love the bone earrings, but the "long messy necklace" takes the cake! I'd be sporting that one everywhere I go. Well done!

those are really nice though.  the wood bead one is suprisingly eye catching for the simplicity of it. i like.

thanks! it looks a lot more complicated than it really is....honestly all i use are pieces of chain, wire (from the hardware store) and sometimes those long metal pins with the loop on one end. and then i just arrange stuff and rearrange it a million times until it hangs just right.

yeah...i buy a lot of my bead from bocage in nyc (i'm sure it's marked up a little but not too bad, plus she does all the finding the best beads dirty work for me) and then i get home and just kind of make little piles and move stuff around until combos seem right...
